Approved amount

The amount that is authorized for payment by the company after you complete the milestone and request payment.

Compliance

Following the different rules and regulations your client has for working with freelancers and contractors. Fiverr Enterprise helps manage three compliance areas: legal compliance (having the right legal forms), tax compliance (having the right tax documentation), and workforce compliance (making sure your amount of work qualifies you as a freelancer, not a full-time employee).

Hiring manager

The person on your client’s side who is responsible for a job and is your main contact, including approving your invoices so they can be processed and paid.

Job

An ongoing or one-time project that needs to be done and for which a company is using or looking to hire a talent.

Legal and tax documents

Legal documents include any documents you sign with the client, such as an NDA or contract. Tax documents include tax forms such as W-8 and W-9 for talents working with US companies.

Milestone

A way to break up a job into payable portions for the purposes of planning the budget and tracking progress and expenses. Milestones consist of a rate (hourly, fixed per deliverable, or retainer) and a payment frequency (monthly, weekly, or one-time).

Some examples of milestones are:

  • 10 hours of work per month

  • 1 blog per week

  • A $2,000 monthly retainer

Payment cycle

The date when Fiverr Enterprise starts to process your payments for milestones that were approved before this date. You can expect to receive payment approximately 3 to 5 business days after the payment cycle date..

Payment details

The information you need to provide for you to get paid. This includes your contact information, preferred payment method, and required tax forms. You’ll be asked to enter these details when you begin working in Fiverr Enterprise, and you can edit them at any time from the Payment details tab.

Payment method

How your funds are transferred to you. Payment methods available include wire transfers, direct deposit/ACH, check, eCheck/local bank transfer, PayPal, and Payoneer.

Payment request

A request for payment that you send to your hiring manager through the Fiverr Enterprise platform when you’ve completed your work or based on a certain mutually agreed-upon timeframe. Payment requests are made per milestone and kick off the approval and payment process. In some cases, hiring managers may submit payment requests on behalf of their talents.

Pending approval

A milestone status in which you have requested payment but it has not yet been authorized for payment by the hiring manager.

Planned amount

The amount the hiring manager expected to pay you for this milestone.

Profile

A page with your professional details, such as your education, skills, achievements, rate, and a portfolio of your work. You can add this information manually or import your profile from LinkedIn. The details on your profile are only shared with clients you work with, who can view your profile to decide if you are right for a job.

Requested amount

The amount you ask to be paid for a milestone after you complete the work or based on a certain mutually agreed-upon timeframe.

Talent

A freelancer, independent contractor, or company (e.g., studio, agency, etc.) doing work for the organization using Fiverr Enterprise (the client). Talents are not part of the organization’s payroll.
